The Missing Link: Metadata Workflows for Everyone – CIMA Annual Conference May 12, 2016

The Cataloging and Special Collections departments of the Merrill-Cazier Library have been working to create some really useful workflows to benefit our staff and our library users.

Converting HTML Finding Aids to Dublin Core for Batch Uploading

AND

Batch Linking Digital Content into EAD finding aids

The processes help streamline tasks, eliminate the duplication of efforts as we create finding aids and metadata, enrich our EAD finding aid content, and assist researchers as they utilize our collections.

We are presenting these workflows to folks at the CIMA Annual Conference this year to demonstrate and discuss how other institutions may benefit from implementing this process.
